Youth Theatre taster sessions for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Taster sessions will take place on the following dates:
Tuesday 8 August, 15 August, 22 August, and 29 August
2.30pm -  4.30pm.

Queen’s Hall Arts is running a programme of youth theatre taster sessions over the month of August specifically for young people aged 14 to 19 with autism.

The taster sessions are being run prior to the commencement of a new autism-specific Queen’s Hall Youth Theatre starting in late September 2017. The sessions will be led by specialist drama practitioner, Sue Mitchell, and will use tailored drama practice methods to help the young people to explore issues around social interaction and other areas of everyday living.

We hope that the taster sessions will enable interested young people with ASD to see if this activity is for them, with a view to QHA developing a core group for the new youth theatre. Young people can book onto as few or as many of the 4 sessions as they want.

For a booking form and payment instructions please contact QHA Engagement Officer Susan Priestley

To arrange an informal discussion about the sessions structure and delivery please contact Youth Theatre leader Sue Mitchell
