Many Happy Returns! is a lively and joyful theatre production that commemorates 100 years of the Northumberland Library Service, tracing its history from its beginnings in 1924 through into the 21st century: fun facts and curious occurences, including a book’s journey across the sea from Blyth to Sweden and back, and the burning of a book deemed too racy for its reader!

Many Happy Returns! uses drama, storytelling, live music and songs to celebrate our love of books and reading.

The play is created and performed by the Queen’s Hall Adult Drama Group and directed by Théâtre Sans Frontières.
