Callout
Calling all photographers and artists to showcase their talent in our upcoming exhibition.
We are looking for submissions of square-format photographs, for a group exhibition in Galley One at Queen’s Hall from 3 May - 1 June 2024. With no specific theme, we are looking for creative and imaginative work that will showcase your practice. Whether you are a professional photographer or an aspiring enthusiast, we welcome submissions from people at all stages to share their vision and contribute to a vibrant cultural exchange.
Please submit your work to help us showcase the range of talent and imagination in the North East.
Selection Criteria
This call is open to all North East based photographers and artists, regardless of nationality, age, or career stage. We are looking for images from artists from a diverse range of backgrounds, creatively and culturally. We also encourage applications from photographers and artists with work relating to the North East of England.
We intend to show as many submissions as possible using a large photo grid layout in the gallery space. We will select work via a small selection panel. The work will be scored according to:
-
A unique, creative approach
-
Quality of the image
-
Effective use of square format
Exhibition format
The exhibition will consist of a large vinyl grid of untitled images that cover the two main gallery walls. Exhibition catalogues will be available in the gallery that the audience can use to find the title of each image and find out more about it and the artist who made it.

Please submit your work via the online submission form here.
All work should be submitted as a 30cm x 30 cm, 300dpi Jpeg. a maximum of three images per artist.
