Down Stage Youth Theatre

All our groups focus on ensemble work, working as a company of players, to develop drama and performance skills: voice, physicality, script and devising. This is done through games, exercises, and creative tasks. All groups work towards creating work to share back so there are always opportunities to perform, either from scripts, through devising, and putting on productions where possible..

We also offer participation opportunities with external professional companies and encourage all youth theatre members to come and watch work at the Queen’s Hall to help build up an understanding of different styles and genres of theatre. Sometimes we go as a group during the session times.
