Jane Lee McCracken: Artist Talk & Auction

Local artist Jane Lee McCracken will deliver a talk about her recent Chimpanzee Community exhibition in partnership with Born Free and Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue & Protection (LCRP) at Queen’s Hall.

The exhibition raised awareness of endangered chimpanzees through children’s drawings. Jane will also discuss her journey as an artist and founding her charity, Drawing for the Planet.

A short film created after her trip to Liberia delivering workshops to Liberian children, featuring extraordinary footage of LCRP's orphan chimpanzees will also be screened.

During the event a print of Jane’s intricate Biro drawing Gardener of the Forest will be auctioned to raise funds for the continuation of workshops in Liberia, LCRP and Born Free Education. The online auction can be found here.
