Come and enjoy a relaxed evening of music with two of Tynedale’s most popular musical acts.
Award-winning upper voice chamber choir Dark Sky Voices and multi-instrumental song-writing duo Landermason, (Fiona Lander and Paul Mason) will each perform a varied set of some of their favourite material, before coming together for a selection of specially arranged collaborative numbers. The combined sound is unique, with layers of interesting textures and harmonies that are sure to leave you feeling uplifted and inspired!

Multi-instrumentalist Fiona Lander (vocals, piano, whistles, clarinet, recorder, saxophone) and Paul Mason (guitars, ukulele and vocals) present a fabulous and varied show which combines both traditional and contemporary folk with jazz, blues, classical and other styles.
Their own self-penned material interspersed with lively jigs and striking arrangements of traditional classics provide a lovely contrast for any audience. Prepare to be energised, uplifted, soothed, entertained and challenged all in one set!
Landermason have been writing and recording for over twenty years. They have performed at many of the UK’s best loved venues, toured in France, Germany and the Netherlands and have enjoyed airplay on BBC Radio 2, 3, 4, Scotland, Wales and the BBC World Service. In 2021, they released their 8th studio album, Landermason with Dark Sky Voices, a unique collection of songs with a strong choral element featuring Fiona’s Tynedale-based choir.
Dark Sky Voices
Dark Sky Voices are an award-winning adult chamber choir based in Tynedale who love to perform songs in a wide range of styles! The group formed in 2019, is directed by Northumberland musician/composer Fiona Lander. During 2021, they recorded an album of specially arranged songs with Bellingham-based duo Landermason.
A year later, they were invited by Northumberland County Council to sing at Cawfields Quarry on Hadrian’s Wall for the Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebration and were featured on BBC Breakfast TV and Look North as a result! In 2023, they spent a day at Simpson Street Studios recording a selection of songs, one of which has been aired on BBC Music Introducing (North East).
More recently they have performed at the Glasshouse International Centre in collaboration with Howay the Lasses and have been part of several fund-raising concerts with other local choirs.
Dark Sky Voices have enjoyed competitive success at Ryton Music Festival winning their class on three separate occasions and are looking forward to more festival appearances in 2025.
