A Damned Saint, an Honourable Villain! Exhibition
- Main Information
Monday – Saturday, 10am–4pm
A Damned Saint, an Honourable Villain! is an installation by artist Chantelle Wilson, currently studying Fine Art at The Open College of the Arts.
Chantelle's work reflects the intense emotions and internal conflicts she experienced during difficult periods of her life, expressed through symbolic paper flowers, a clothes rail, twisting branches, and fragile tissue-paper and a watercolour portrait.
This piece is inspired by the Shakespearean character Juliet from Romeo and Juliet, with whom the artist strongly empathises — particularly the conflict Juliet experiences between loyalty to her family and her love.
This work is available to view for free in the Queen's Hall foyer between Tuesday 6 and Tuesday 13 January.
