Discover Queen's Hall Arts’ Our Freedom: Then & Now project through a powerful new AR experience created by local artist Emma Tominey.

Part of a national initiative led by Future Arts Centres and inspired by Simon Armitage’s poem Freedom Road, this project puts community voices at its heart. Working with veterans, cadets, and active service members, we’ve explored what freedom means – then, now, and in the future.

From 22 November 2025 until October 2026, you can download the app and take part in this outdoor live AR experience in your own time. Use your smartphone to explore stories, ideas, and reflections – and even add your own.

Watch this space for more information and download link.

The Our Freedom programme is led by Future Arts Centres and delivered in partnership with Libraries Connected and Open Eye Gallery, supported using public funding by UK Government through Arts Council England.
