Discover the fascinating heritage of Hexham on one of Visit Hexham's free 90 minute tours.

A team of volunteer guides are waiting to share their knowledge of our beautiful town with you as they lead you to key sites such as the Old Gaol, Hexham House and the 800-year-old marketplace – finishing outside the magnificent Hexham Abbey.

Tours are free and must be booked in advance.

Your tour will begin promptly at time advertised. 

Please arrive at least 10 mins before the tour starts, so you can be issued with the headsets that allow you to hear the guide speaking clearly. Assemble in the foyer of the Queen’s Hall on Beaumont Street, where toilets and refreshments are available.
