Hexham Lantern Parade is BACK for 2026!

Sponsored by EGGER, we’re delighted to announce that the Hexham Lantern Parade will once again light up the streets of Hexham on Friday 13 November! Find out more about this year’s parade here.

To get ready for this year’s parade, join Nessie for a FREE lantern-making workshop. We’ll provide all the materials you need to make your lantern – you’ll just need to add your own battery-operated light at home before the parade.

Workshop dates and times:

Tuesday 27 October: 10am, 11am & 12pm
Saturday 7 November: 10am, 11am & 12pm

Please note: Workshops are free, but advance booking is recommended. Please book a ticket for everyone who wishes to make a lantern. Accompanying adults do not need a ticket if they are simply observing. Children need to be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.
