Twilight Hexham Walk
- Main Information
Duncan Wise, Lead Officer for Dark Skies with Northumberland National Park Authority, will lead a guided walk around Hexham at twilight, where you will hear more about the effects of light pollution on our dark skies, its detrimental effect on wildlife, and upon our health and wellbeing.
Learn how to use a Sky Quality Meter to monitor light pollution and discover simple ways to minimise and reduce it from our environment.
We will also carry bat detectors to help identify bats if they are flying around.
Please note: Participants should meet in Queen's Hall foyer at 7pm. Please bring suitable clothing to be outside for the duration of the walk.
